‘Assentech Covid 19 update, Planning for now and the future’
Firstly, as a valued customer of Assentech Rapid Response & Service Limited/Assentech Sales Limited we would like to wish you, your families and employees all the best in these challenging and uncertain times.
Secondly, all of us here would like to reassure our customers that we are trying to keep it ‘business as usual’ to the best of our abilities. Currently many of our staff are working from home, and we are in daily discussions as to how we can maintain the service we give to you and keep you and your facilities up and running.
During these uncertain times, it’s very important that Sites’ can evidence for legislative adherence, that their routine maintenance work, including inspections and testing, are still diarised effectively. At these times a purchase order and preliminary appointment booking should satisfy any inspector/insurance requirement as it demonstrates commitment to the plan.
We are keeping our workshop facilities in Cornwall fully operational during the pandemic. This will be with reduced manpower at the moment to ensure we adhere to the Government guidelines on Social Distancing.
The sales side is still in full flow, with the team working hard to process all orders as soon as possible.
Due to current restrictions we are unable to provide our usual onsite service visits. However, as many of you have already contacted us regarding this, we know that you have the same approach too.
Through this crisis it has become apparent that we need to be creative with solutions that help our customers today and into the future. With many customers it may be time to think of how to move to working with us on things such as a rolling service schedule, this would mean you sending your assets to us for servicing instead of a site visit. This method is proven and works very effectively with many of our customers currently.
To enable us to give you a seamless process this might be the time to look at spare equipment to enable you to Swap In/Swap Out to reduce downtime. We understand that shortfall in revenue as a result of the current climate will limit access to funds. However, we are pleased to announce that we have partnered with a finance company that can provide repayment options to suit your business.
If sending your equipment is really not possible for you, we are looking to prioritize site visits once the restrictions are lifted.
To enable us to plan this we ask that Purchase Orders are in place for the following:
• Spares – this is to ensure that we can get ahead of any mass ordering post COVID-19 and have the spares with us in the workshop or in your stores to enable us to hit the ground running once we can attend site.
• Visits – A purchase order in this instance would put you at the forefront of our scheduling. We envisage that it is going to be an extremely busy period for us so by getting you booked in provisionally we know that you are going to be getting the service you expect and you will be getting what you require from us. This would be a flexible schedule as none of us know for sure when this will be over, we will not be pre-booking our accommodation thus giving us and yourselves the option to change dates as required without any penalties.
Ultimately, we hope that we can find a solution that suits you and that our ongoing relationship continues and grows. All of us here at Assentech are doing everything we can to keep everyone safe, while continuing to provide our usual optimum levels of service and sale.
