Assentech Ltd is the proud distributor for OPW Fluid Transfer Group.
Loading Systems
OPW offers the most complete line of loading equipment available to meet today's bulk loading and unloading requirements. Whether your application involves Tank Trucks, Rail Cars or Drums, we can work with you to develop the right equipment for your application. Petroleum products, liquefied gases, asphalt, solvents, or hazardous, corrosive chemicals, OPW loading systems help streamline your operation. Loading methods can be via the top or bottom of the receiver.
Top Loaders
Top Loading railcars and trucks continues to provide an efficient and cost effective method to load and unload in many situations. A loading system should have sufficient horizontal range to reach the farthest compartment without re-spotting the vehicle. Sufficient vertical movement and drop-pipe lengths to service vehicles of varying heights is also necessary. A properly designed top loading system can achieve this requirement. Top loading can also be used for tight-fill and vapour recovery applications when used with specially designed and engineered components, such as vapour plates, tapered hatch plugs, and inflatable hatch seals. We offer 5 top loading mechanisms as follows:
• Single arm - Fixed Reach E-32-F & J-32-F
• Scissor Type Top Loading Arm C-32-F, H-31-F
• Supported Boom Arm B-32-F
• Unsupported Boom Arm GT-32-F
• Slide Sleeve Arm A-32-F
Bottom Loaders
OPW Bottom Loading Systems offer numerous benefits over conventional top loading:
Safety of the person operating the loading arm is the prime advantage since the operator remains on the ground, not on top of the vehicle where falls are a common threat.
Connections are made more quickly so overall loading time is reduced.
Bottom loading systems create less turbulence in the tank, reducing the danger of generating static electricity.
Bottom loading not only reduces vapours, which can be an environmental hazard, but this system can also be easily adapted to fully recover vapours displaced during loading.
Speed is a key advantage of bottom loading because tanks can be filled faster and a number of compartments can be loaded simultaneously.
Bottom loading islands are simpler and cheaper to build than top loading racks. You can realize more savings because you'll safely load more material in a shorter time with less spillage and vapour loss. OPW offers a complete line of equipment for efficiently loading and unloading petroleum products, chemicals, and liquefied gases. We offer 6 bottom loading options as follows:
• Unsupported Boom Bottom Loaders
• 'A' Frame Loader M-32-F
• 'A' Frame Hose Loader AFH-32-F
• CWH Series Counterweighted Hose Loader
• Spring Balanced Hose Loader SRH-32-F & LRH-32-F
• LPG Set Loading System
All bottom loading methods require a coupling interface with the truck or railcar. OPW has a complete range of couplers designed for a wide range of applications. Starting with the most common API 1004E to the high specification Kamvalok(TM) self sealing coupler, OPW has a solution for all applications.
API Coupler
The 1005E API Bottom Loading Coupler from OPW Engineered Systems combines ease of use with heavy-duty construction for unmatched dependability. This is the most common coupler design for fuel transfer. An advanced sealing design, using one seal instead of two, provides superior sealing characteristics and makes replacement quick and simple. Its heavy-duty aluminum and stainless steel construction has been proven at terminals around the globe. This product has many imitators our durability and dependability stands head and shoulders above the rest.
Hazardous Products
Dry Disconnects
OPW Kamvalok(TM) Dry Disconnect Couplings are used by manufacturers of paint, lacquers, inks, adhesives, fatty acids, pharmaceuticals, liquid soaps, and many other liquid products. They are particularly well suited for handling petroleum products, solvents, ag-chemicals, vegetable oils, detergents and many acids and caustics.
Kamvalok® 1700D
Includes bi-directional closure for secure spill protection. Ideal for use on closed loop multi-compartment petroleum, solvent and chemical product delivery trucks with an on-board pumping unit.
Kamvalok® 1711 & 12ES
This unit has all the benefits of the 1700D with the additional feature of a 360°Swivel for ease of use.
Kamvalok® D2000
This Series is designed for those applications that require automatic closure from only one flow direction. Ideal for vapor recovery and suction pump applications. Manufactured in durable material equivalent to 304 SS.
Kamvalok® 1600
This adaptor is designed to couple with the Kamvalok® couplers and mount on ASME flanges. This unit is made from durable stainless steel and is available with a full range of seals including PTFE, EPDM, Chemraz®, Buna-N and Fluorocarbon.
OPW's Drylok(TM) dry disconnect coupler is designed to safely transfer hazardous corrosive, volatile liquids such as acids, solvents and petrochemicals. An interlocking handle averts accidental spills by preventing uncoupling while the valve is open. And, the unit's flat face minimizes fluid loss, further reducing exposure to risk during operation. Drylok(TM) is ideal for all kinds of hazardous fluids where product loss is a problem, such as high-pressure lines, high flow rates, slurries, and gases. Kamvalok®
The OPW 2173AVN Vapor Recovery Dry Disconnect Coupling provides for easy access in recovering vapors for either top or bottom loading/unloading tank truck operations. The OPW 2173AVN installs onto the QRB valve on tank trailers and can provide a dry disconnect connection for emergency evacuation of hazardous liquids in the case of roll-over.
